BOSTON — MBTA officials said a person has died after being struck by a subway trolley in the Kendall Square station.
The person whose name was not immediately made public was struck by an inbound train at about 11:20 a.m. on Monday.
MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said passengers were being bused between the Harvard Square and Broadway stations during the investigation. Transit Police Deputy Chief Joseph O’Connor said Red Line service should be restored within two to three hours.
Interesting article, but I feel like it would be better told as a song…
Now this is a story
all about how some guy
got twisted upside down
and id like to take a minute
just sit right there
ill tell you how he became a corpse
down in Kendall Square
In East Cambridge
on the traintracks is where
he left most of his brains
chilling out, maxing
and relaxing all cool
and all chasing after rats
on the tracks like a fool
when a couple of guys
said “hey buddy you should
get the fuck off the tracks if you know whats good.”
he saw the train bearing down and he got scared
he had forgotten to check in
to the station on foursquare.
He screamed for help, but when it came near
the shuttle car just honked
and his fate became clear
He could have been saved by the train engineer
but he thought nah, forget it
someone grab me a beer!
The train ran over the guy around 11:08
and his body went flying like it was hit by a freighter.
And everyone was pissed they had to pay cab fare
cuz some guy had the nerve to die in Kendall Square.
Yes, I know I am going to hell.
