Zach Galifianakis on SNL

To be honest, this episode kind of sucked.  They finally get a successful comedian to host the show, and the writers botched their opportunity for good comedy.  The best moment was the monologue, and Zach clearly wrote that himself.  He only played supporting parts in the rest of the skits, most of which weren’t funny.  Shame on you SNL, and shame on you for putting me through the skit below.  At first I thought it was funny, but by the end I was covering my eyes.  You’ll understand why in a few moments…

I didn't actually watch the episode due to the fact that I was at a bar in NYC while it was being aired, but they were playing it at the bar I was at without sound. The one thing I noticed which I was pretty happy about was the fact that Zach shaved his beard, mostly because it reminded me of the bit he used to do as his “brother” Seth.

The monologue you posted is hilarious, it is absolutely written by him, and I'm glad he hit up the piano as that is what he does mostly during his stand up.

However, I will take your word for it Doc and avoid trying to watch the episode in its entirety online.
