Bible = Porn?

A student group at a Texas university is making it easier to turn Saints into sinners by allowing students to trade in their bible for porn. Yes, porn.
The Atheist Agenda, a student group at the University of Texas-San Antonio, likens the bible to pornography and every year they conduct their “Smut for Smut” campaign. The campaign is simple: hardcore religious types can drop by and swap religious text for some hardcore adult literature. The campaign is held because the Atheist Agenda think the bible is as smutty as pornography and “contains violence and torture” that “spark religious wars.” To them, it’s an even swap.

Understandably the campaign has caught the ire of religious folk, who are protesting the groups’ controversial exchange program. The group has had their booth surrounded with people protesting, singing religious songs and holding up banners.

So far only 10 religious texts have been swapped for porn.

I agree somewhat with this group. Lord knows I spent many a night in prison trying to beat it furiously to scripture passages:

“Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me.” Ooo0h I think I am, comething, right now.

“Time and again Jesus reminds us that he is our personal, human link to the Father. As true man and true God, Christ unites us to God the Father in a very personal, intimate and loving way. Jesus Christ is the truth and life of the world.”
Oh yea give me that dirty talk John

“Like doubting Thomas, we sometimes find it hard to believe in Jesus as our Lord and our God. Thomas had the benefit of touching our Lord after the resurrection, but we do not. Nevertheless, God has granted us the gift of faith through grace, and blessed those who believe without seeing.”
No “doubt” about it – I have a huge boner right now.

In any event, I think atheists should think of better things to do with their time than pick on the Catholic church. I mean, they’re going through enough hard times right now as is.

(That article kind of reminds me of this episode, so great)
