OKLAHOMA CITY – Feed the Children is responding to a CBS News report alleging the Oklahoma-City base charity exaggerated claims about its work in Haiti.

A CBS News investigation reports the charity inflated claims about its help in Haiti. In online email messages and on its web site, the charity claimed donations funded a huge camp in Haiti, providing medical relief for 12,000 people.

But CBS reports the camp was set up by local monks and nuns, not Feed the Children. Their investigation also asserts doctors treated fewer patients than claimed and the charity reportedly wasn’t feeding anybody there.

Feed the Children also made claims that the UN chose them “to distribute food and milk for the entire camp,” but officials for the UN said those claims were false, according to the CBS News report.

Talk about evil. Here I was thinking that the “Texting for Haiti” campaign was a scam and it turns out a more reputable foundation is run by criminals. I wonder what they are really using that money for. It better be something cool. The only way I let this slide is if they put the money to good use. Things that fall under this category include cancer research, alternative fuels, awesome waterslides, undetectable rufilin, and jet packs.
