A couple months back, we brought the Mormon shitstorm that is Stephanie Meyer and her Twilight finale to your attention.  If you’re up for an entertaining read, go back and check out this summary of Breaking Dawn.  Not only is the third Twilight sequel happening, it’s happening twice:

I have this from several sources, and it’s definitive. Filming on the back-to-back movies would begin in mid-October, and Summit Entertainment is looking at “high end” directors.

Breaking Dawn is the longest in Stephenie Meyer’s 4-book series lengthwise and it’s the most graphic – presenting birth, attempted murder, death, and of course vampire bites. (via deadline)

I assume by high-end directors, they’re referring to someone like Chris Weitz.  He directed New Moon and was integral in bringing several other glowing paradigms of American cinema to the theaters, like Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Nutty Professor 2, and The Golden Compass.  And we wonder why the rest of the world hates our guts.
