“That’s Dynamite!”

Is it weird that I had never heard of this movie until 5 minutes ago?  Because supposedly it’s some sort of a huge cult hit.  Like 8 out of 10 stars on imdb.  I don’t know how anyone can take it seriously when Chris Cooper’s ripping his shirt open to expose old movie cliches.
