HENDERSON, Nv — Henderson police officers and the FBI have arrested five men after a failed bank robbery.
Police say the men attempted to rob the Wells Fargo Bank on Sunset Road and Stephanie Street. The men entered the bank, showed a fake search warrant to the bank manager and demanded all the money from the vault. The manager refused and was subsequently handcuffed by the suspects and led out of the bank.
Once outside, the manager explained the process of opening to the vault to the suspects and they allowed him back in the bank. The manager explained that he had to call his security manager in order to open the vault. He was allowed to make the phone call and the security manager alerted police.
Henderson officers arrested the men as they left the bank. The FBI has since taken over the case.
What kind of a bank robber falls for the phone call trick? Wikipedia may disagree, but that is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Regardless, I got a few good laughs out of that wikipedia page. Who knew they were burning bags of dog shit in the middle ages or that Socrates was such a funny bastard?
