Drink of the Week: Absolut Boston

Tried this stuff out last weekend for my birthday and it’s halfway decent.  It’s pretty much the same thing as Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, but it’s clear and comes in a bottle with the Green Monster on the side of it.  I recommend giving it a go with red bull to ensure shenanigans ensue.  Here’s another recipe I came across online that people seem to love, and no, I don’t know what “simple syrup” is so good luck:

Boston Tea Party
3 parts Absolut Boston
2 parts lemon juice
1 part simple syrup
Garnish with a lemon twist

Great marketing by the Absolut boys - plenty of room for creativity when you’re whoring yourself out to specific cities with all kinds of new flavors.  I’m not big on flavored vodka but I’ll still probably try out all the different varieties soon.  It’s like I’m 8 again and the makers of Slush Puppies just added a whole new row of squirt box thingies to the snack bar slush machine.  Those were the days…
