– Video game players with less-than-dexterous thumbs will soon stand a fighting chance, with Microsoft Corp. on Monday promising a new method for controlling the action with full body movements.
The Redmond, Wash., software giant unveiled a technology for its Xbox 360 video game console that, as early as next year, could let people toss aside the baffling 12-button controller. Instead, the system’s camera and sound sensors detect movement of faces and body joints as well as voice commands.
This thing, like the Nintendo Wii, will likely get old real fast for people my age. That’s why I want the people I know to go out and buy it, so I can pretend to be friends with them again. Everytime I’m over their place I’ll just steal something and bring it back the next time I want to play…”Hey man, I think you left this in my car. Oh u know what? As long as I’m here let’s play that hands-free shit.”
In related news, Sony intends to install a fleshlight directly into the side of the upcoming PS4 console.
